Migrant Program
The Migrant Education Program is a federally funded program which provides supplemental education and support services to eligible children between 3 - 21 years of age. Qualification for the program is based on intent to seek seasonal or temporary agricultural employment by the parent or guardian. Families also must be new to the school district within the past three years. Identification and eligibility for this program is completed by staff from the Centennial Board of Cooperative Educational Services.
Families and students identified as migratory are eligible to receive additional support services including assistance with school work, Migrant summer school, books and school materials, assistance with interpretation and translation services in order to better participate in our school system, and some assistance with medical and dental services.
In 2011, there are 10 students between the ages of 3-21 who live within the Thompson School District attendance boundaries and are eligible for these services.
