We are proud of the fact that:

  • We are on the forefront of meeting the needs of all students with new options and challenges.
  • As a district with a 2005 and 2008 Colorado Middle Schools to Watch recipient, Thompson actively hosts teachers from outside the district and participates with the Colorado Association of Mid-Level Educators.
  • We provide intensive staff development to assure our teachers have the tools to meet the learning needs of all students.
  • Our test scores are continually above the state average.
  • Surveys consistently show that most of our staff and parents are satisfied with their schools and their directions.
  • All of our professional development training is based on well-researched strategies so that our teachers are up to date in their approaches to meeting the needs of all learners.

The graduating class of 2011 earned more than $13.2 million in scholarships. We are a continuing source of Boettcher Scholars and Merit Scholarship semi-finalists and finalists.
